1870, "Ville d'Orléans" (Courier de Mandal-Post), complete preprinted folded cover with DKr. "PARIS Pl. De La BOURSE 24.NOV.70" (postage paid) to Lille with arrival postmark of 6 Dec, for the so-called "Mandal-Post" in quite well overall condition. Note: Part of the mail was thrown into the sea as ballast to avoid an emergency landing. This mail was salvaged by fishermen and forwarded to the French consulate in Mandal. Here, too, the mail was promptly forwarded wide to the addressees without labelling.

1870, "Ville d'Orléans" (Courier de Mandal-Post), kompletter Vordruck-Faltbrief mit DKr. "PARIS Pl. De La BOURSE 24.NOV.70" (Frankatur abgefallen) nach Lille mit Ankunftsstempel vom 6.12., für die sogenannte "Mandal-Post" in recht guter Gesamterhaltung. Notiz: Ein Teil der Post wurde als Ballast ins Meer geworfen, um eine Notlandung zu vermeiden. Diese Post wurde von Fischern geborgen und an das französische Konsulat in Mandal weitergeleitet. Auch hier wurde die Post zeitnah ohne Kennzeichnung an die Empfänger weiter befördert.

"PARIS 24.NOV.70" and reverse arrival datestamp "ST SYMPHORIEN D'OZON 12.DEC.70" in well overall condition, signed Calves. Note: After the then world record flight of the balloon "Vville d'Orléans" from Paris to Norway, the entire undamaged mail was forwarded wide to the addressees without further labelling.

Notiz: Nach der damaligen Weltrekordfahrt des Ballons "Vville d'Orléans" von Paris nach Norwegen, wurde die gesamte unbeschädigte Post ohne weitere Kennzeichnung an die Adressaten weiter befördert.
