reverse, double-circle \MEERANE 6.8.45\ cancellation and red \MEERANE Gebühr bezahlt 6.8.45 4-5N\ handstamp alongside, very good condition, unsigned. On 8.5.1945 the Meerane local commander prohibited use of Glauchau stamps. From 6.8.1945 stamps on
mail franked with them were covered by postal sealing labels, regardless of whether or not they bore the Meerane overprint. These labels were additionally struck with red postage-paid handstamp. Examples also occur with postage-paid handstamp
alongside the labels. Only a few examples of this form of obliteration known to date. Mi. 2.500.- (7)
Meerane-Provisorium, 25 Pfennig Überdruck in schwarz auf 12 Pfennig Dauerserie Adolf Hitler, rot, mit darüber verklebtem Postverschlusszettel,
auf Fensterbrief mit rückseitigem Absendereindruck der \Kammgarnspinnerei Meerane A.-G. Meerane (Sachsen)\, entwertet mit Zweikreisstempel \MEERANE 6.8.45\, sowie nebengesetztem roten Stempel \MEERANE Gebühr bezahlt 6.8.45 4-5N\, sehr gute Erhaltung,
unsigniert. In Meerane erließ der Ortskommandant am 8.5.1945 ein Verbot der Verwendung von Glauchauer Marken. Soweit Post mit ihnen frankiert war, wurden die Marken und zwar unabhängig davon, ob sie mit dem Stempel von Meerane bedruckt waren oder
nicht ab dem 6.8.1945 mit Postverschlusszetteln überkleben. Diese wurden zusätzlich mit dem roten Gebühr bezahlt Stempel bedruckt. Es kommen aber auch Stücke vor, bei denen der \Gebühr bezahlt\ Stempel neben den Postverschlusszetteln abgeschlagen
wurde. Von dieser Art der Unkenntlichmachung sind nur wenige Stücke bisher bekannt. Mi. 2.500.-
