2116 O image(#37)3¢ DULL-ORANGE-RED THICK PAPER VARIETY, unlisted thick hard H-wove paper (0.0039”) with an early fresh (long) pin perf 11.60 x 11.95, these clearly fall outside the Shoemaker type-D thick paper 0.0032'-0.0035” range and were most likely produced in 1878-1879 based on the ink shade and the fact that two new perf machines were purchased in 1878, an 1881 dated copy has also been reported, these are much scarcer than the dark-rose #37i thick paper issue with only 4 copies reported to date, they definitely deserve a separate catalog listing, VF est ($375+ US) (Image) C$500+
