A VERY FINE EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH TYPE A DOUBLE TRANSFER.
This must be a very early impression, because the double transfer is so prominent. With 1991 P.F. certificate not mentioning the double transfer. Also accompanied by plating diagram showing the double transfer. (Image)
FINE. A SCARCE EXAMPLE OF THE 109-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH THE TYPE B DOUBLE TRANSFER. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE WITH THE BLUE NUMERAL CANCEL.
Illustrated in Brookman on p. 63. (Image)
FRESH AND VERY FINE. AN ATTRACTIVE SOUND FOUR-MARGINED EXAMPLE OF THE 109-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH THE TYPE B DOUBLE TRANSFER.
Little is known about this double transfer, which is most noticeable in the "POST OFFICE" label at top. (Image)
VERY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 10-CENT 1847 ISSUE WITH A CLEAR DOUBLE TRANSFER.
Accompanied by Elliott Perry's plating notes which gives a detailed description of the double transfer. For no apparent reason, this double transfer is unlisted in Scott. With 1986 P.F. certificate. (Image)
VERY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THIS DOUBLE TRANSFER ON COVER.
For no apparent reason, the Scott Catalogue does not list this double transfer as they do Types A to D. Elliott Perry called this position "Shift F" in his plating study.
Ex Rust. With 1992 P.F. certificate (Image)
