FINE-VERY FINE. A MARVELOUS AND RARE SET OF KANSAS-NEBRASKA OVERPRINT BLOCKS OF FOUR ON MATCHING FIRST DAY COVERS.

The time slug for the slogan machine cancel reads 2:30 p.m., whereas the handstruck grid duplexes read either 2:30 or 3:30 p.m. This was due to the inability of the machine cancel to cover all four stamps in each block. Even after the clerk(s) made sure all stamps were cancelled, they discovered six that were not and ran smudge lines of cancelling ink on three bottom pairs of the 7c-9c Kans. to prevent re-use.
