VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE AND IMPORTANT DIE PROOF OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE.

This was made for the introduction of the new 2-1/2p and 4p U.P.U. rates and originally intended only for the Leeward Island colonies of Antigua, Montserrat, Nevis and Virgin Islands. It was subsequently also used for Cyprus, Natal, St. Lucia and Turks Islands. An essential exhibition item. (Image)
