French Cameroun
Lot Sym. Lot Description
132 c ImageCAMEROUN (French), 1914 Ukoko "Souvenir" Card. German Cameroun 5pf postal card with 3pf-40pf Yacht stamps, all tied by "Ukoko, Kamerun 16.9 14" circular datestamps and addressed to Libreville, Gabon, registry label which is also tied by "Bezirk Muni" with eagle handstamp, Very Fine, the French captured Ukoko on Sept. 21, 1914 and found a small quantity of German Yacht stamps and cancels, "souvenirs" were made and cancelled by the datestamp (Sept. 16 was the last date the Germans used it), most are unaddressed which leads us to believe this may have been mailed (Image)
