FINE APPEARANCE. A RARE DOMESTIC USE OF A PAIR OF THE 24-CENT 1869 PICTORIAL ISSUE.
The franking pays 17-times the 3c rate, so the depositions must have been fairly long. Only four covers are known bearing two copies of the 24c 1869 Pictorial (plus three with more than two stamps, one offered in lot 881) (Image)
