2445° c ImageRHODESIA, 1910, -1/2p Bluish Green, Imperforate (101c; SG 120a). Horizontal pair with large margins and fresh color, tied by Bulawayo Sept. 24, 1910 circular datestamps on local cover, both the stamps and the cover are extraordinarily fresh

VERY FINE. A STRIKING AND EXTREMELY RARE IMPERFORATE PAIR OF THE 1910 HALF-PENNY DOUBLE HEAD USED ON COVER.

Only one imperforate sheet of 100 stamps was ever produced. The majority of these are unused, despite both Scott and Stanley Gibbons pricing unused higher than used. A small number are known used, some of which are defective. Both the Royal Collection and the British Library contain used pairs, reducing the number available to collectors even further.

Used pairs are undervalued and we have conservatively listed the catalogue value as simply a used (off-cover) pair. SG £7,500 (Image)

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN EXTREMELY RARE TRIAL COLOR IN OUTSTANDING CONDITION.
