FINE. ONE OF ONLY TWO RECORDED PLATE BLOCKS OF THE 15-MIL STAMP PERF 10 x 10. ONE OF THE HIGHLIGHTS OF DR. PILDES'S EXHIBIT AND THE MOST IMPORTANT PLATE BLOCK RARITY IN ALL OF ISRAEL PHILATELY.

The perf 10 x 10 stamps were issued in much lower quantities than the normal perf 11 x 11, or even the 10 x 11 variety. Only two values perf 10 x 10 are known in plate block form. One is the 3-mil (an example offered in lot 2028), and the 15-mil. A tiny number of the 3-mil exist and only two of the 15-mil are recorded. The other 15-mil has serial no. 1949. This is the highest cataloguing plate block in the Bale catalogue. In fact, we could not locate another item of any kind in the Bale catalogue that catalogues as much as this plate block. Needless to say, it is an essential piece to forming a serious collection of Doar Ivri plate blocks.
