Extensive group of 25 covers, 22 are prisoner-of-war covers to or from Union prisons and franked with 3c 1861 Issue (65), prisons include Fort Delaware (3), Elmira N.Y. (4), Camp Douglas Ill., Rock Island Ill., Camp Chase O (2), Johnson's Island (4), Point Lookout Md. (7), also two civilian flag-of-truce uses and one unidentified (inner cover postmarked Old Point Comfort), censor markings are struck in a range of strengths with some weak and some clear, some with manuscript censor markings, typical stamp and cover flaws to be found, Fine appearing group of prisoner-of-war covers and rarely offered in this quantity, many accompanied by research and biographical information
