Group of nine stampless covers plus nine with stamps, the stampless are the most interesting part and show last days of old rates and first days of new rates, including two Mar. 30, 1816 last day of War of 1812 50% surcharge, two from June 30, 1845 last day before 5c and 10c rate change, one Jul. 2, 1845 second day of 2c drop rate (Philadelphia, heavy band of toning), two from June 30, 1851 last day of 5c rate, one mailed in June 1851 just before the rate change (5c) and forwarded on Jul. 1 on the first day of new 3c rate, showing both rates in manuscript, one Jul. 1, 1851 first day 3c rate, the stamped covers include what Elliott Perry believed to be the earliest use of the Philadelphia red star carrier handstamp (with 3c 1851), early use of No. 20, a few from 1861 and Bank Note issues and two later Prexie covers, Fine-Very Fine (Image)
