2763 og ImageCANAL ZONE, 1906, 2c Red & Black, Ovpt. Reading Down, Vertical Pair, One Without Ovpt. (23b). Top stamp missing overprint, slightly tropicalized original gum, h.r., few sensibly reinforced perf separations but fully intact, intense colors

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. A STRIKING AND VERY RARE MISSING OVERPRINT VARIETY, OF WHICH ONLY TEN PAIRS WERE PRODUCED.

This distinctive error was caused when the top row of the sheet missed receiving the overprint. Only ten pairs were produced with the missing overprint error.
