VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A WELL-CENTERED AND ATTRACTIVE EXAMPLE OF THE EXTREMELY RARE T. W. MARSDEN 2-CENT BLUE PROPRIETARY ISSUE.

The Aldrich census records a total of only eleven examples. Several of the others are very faulty -- we count four with repairs.

The Aldrich book records 15 copies of this rarity, of which perhaps five are sound. They were affixed over the cork and down the neck of bottles of Sausevain's Bitters and so most were destroyed. It is only known on old paper. (Image)

VERY FINE AND CHOICE. AN EXTREMELY RARE SOUND EXAMPLE OF THE 2-CENT DR. C. C. MOORE ISSUE ON PINK PAPER. AN OUTSTANDING PRIVATE DIE MEDICINE RARITY.

Only seven examples of Dr. Moore's 2c on Pink Paper are recorded in the Aldrich book, of which four are reported as sound. Considering the centering of the example offered here, we are confident in stating that this is one of the finest in existence.
