FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE USED EXAMPLE OF THE 1864 2-CENT HAWAIIAN NUMERAL ON LAID PAPER WITH THE "NTER" VARIETY FROM PLATE 7-A.

Perhaps a dozen used stamps from Plate 7-A are known. We are aware of only one other with the "NTER" variety, offered in our 1999 Aall sale -- it was faulty with a 2mm hole at center.
