4325° c ImageINDIA, 1854, 2a Green (SG 31; Scott 5). Large balanced margins, tied by diamond grid cancel, 1855 cover originating in Edinburgh and used with 1847 1sh Green (5a; SG 55), cut to shape and tied by boxed "Nicholson Street" handstamp, addressed to Lt. Col. Henry Drummond of the 3rd Bengal Light Cavalry in Bombay, cover then forwarded twice where it received the 2a stamp, Edinburgh departure, London, two Bombay, Almorah and indistinct black boxed handstamp with "2a" (due) backstamps, cover with minor edge nicks

VERY FINE. A HANDSOME TWICE FORWARDED COVER FROM GREAT BRITAIN TO INDIA USING THE BRITISH 1847 EMBOSSED ISSUE AND INDIAN 1854 LITHOGRAPH ISSUE.
