1172 nhbl Image3c Presidential, Booklet, Imperforate Vertically (807d). Mint N.H. block of nine, imperforate between left stamps, small staple holes from booklet at top, the variety caused by a foldover which caused vertical crease on right stamps

VERY FINE. AN EXTREMELY RARE BOOKLET PANE OF NINE STAMPS OF THE 3-CENT PRESIDENTIAL ISSUE, IMPERFORATE VERTICALLY BETWEEN TWO LEFT COLUMNS.

The right six stamps should have been the booklet pane, but due to the foldover the pane was miscut, resulting in this striking variety. The Rustad book illustrates two others (p. 52) including one with a vertical gutter.

With 1981 P.F. certificate. Signed in pencil on back. Listed but unpriced in Scott. (Image)
