872 c Image1908, 1c Green & Black, Postal Card, Ty. 6, "Zone Canal" Reading Up (UX2e; UPSS S8a). With period after "Zone", cancelled by "Paraiso C.Z. Dec. 17, 1913 17:30PM" duplex datestamp and addressed to Joseph P. Coveleski in Gatun, with a note on back stating he received this card from the postmaster at Culebra, couple trivial soiled spots and small surface scrape, all unimportant to this unique error

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THE 1908 ONE-CENT GREEN & BLACK POSTAL CARD WITH "ZONE CANAL" OVERPRINT READING UP. A GREAT RARITY.
