Tied by clear strike of "Goodson" Va. straightline handstamp on cover to Guineas Depot Va., stamp with short creases, cover with wear and scattered toning, Fine strike and scarce, according to an article in Confederate Philatelist (Jan.-Feb. 1994), this marking was in use from Oct. 1863 (after the post office was burned during a cavalry raid) until the fall of Goodson in the fall of 1864, ex Judd, C.S.A.
