Jon Bailey", June 30 receipt docketing, no postal markings, circular states in part "The late unnatural, bloody, and destructive War between Great-Britain and America, which interrupted our commerce and correspondence, having at length terminated in peace, and the full acknowledgement of American independence; I take the earliest opportunity of renewing our correspondence and making you an offer of my services...", tiny erosion holes in address, Very Fine example of mail sent after peace was established but before the Treaty of Paris was signed (Image)
