EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE 30-CENT FOREIGN EXCHANGE PART PERFORATED ISSUE. ESPECIALLY DESIRABLE IN SOUND CONDITION AND WITH A HANDSTAMPED CANCEL. THIS IS WITHOUT QUESTION THE FINEST WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED.

Apart from the example offered here, Power Search located only two others. One is ex "Scarsdale" with manuscript cancel and a small thin spot. The other was offered in one of our 1992 auctions and has a horizontal crease. The online records of The Philatelic Foundation contain two additional examples, including one with a piece out at top right. This brings our informal count to five.

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. THE 50-CENT PART PERFORATED ORIGINAL PROCESS IS ONE OF THE RAREST OF ALL PART PERFORATED ISSUES. THIS IS ONLY THE SECOND WE HAVE OFFERED SINCE KEEPING COMPUTERIZED RECORDS.

The first example we have offered since keeping computerized records was in our 2014 Curtis Collection auction, which realized $6,000 hammer. The online records of The Philatelic Foundation contain only six, several of which have faults or are off-center.

With 1997 P.F. certificate. Woefully undercatalogued in Scott. (Image)
