Original gum, lightly hinged, large to huge margins including sheet margin with registration marks at left, deep rich colors and proof-like impressions, two light vertical creases and tiny pinhole entirely in sheet margin still leave large left stamp margin

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SPECTACULAR AND EXCEEDINGLY RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF THE IMPERFORATE $200.00 U.S.I.R. FIRST ISSUE.

The $200.00 U.S.I.R. and all high-denomination First Issue revenue stamps were rarely saved in original-gum condition. This stamp not only has original gum, it comes from Position 3 on the plate of eight and has a wide left sheet margin showing the "+" mark used to keep both colors in registration.
