1040   ImageGREAT BRITAIN, 1890 London Philatelic Exhibition Menu Card. Two-panel card for the dinner given in celebration of 50 years of Penny Postage, with unused examples of the 1840 1p Black, 1841 1p Red, 1864 1p Red perforated, 1880 1p Venetian Red, and 1881 1p Lilac, all affixed to the front panel, the other panel contains a list of the exhibition committee, the inside of the panels have the dinner menu and wine list, stamps with small faults as usual, there are small splits between the panels, but largely intact, Very Fine, a rare item that is particularly desirable for two reasons, 1) the panels have not been separated which is usually the case, and 2) the original Penny Black has not been replaced by a used copy (which is the case on the few other examples we have seen) (Image)
