2045 c World War II Undercover Addresses Impressive Collection. Offered intact as received, over 120 covers with nearly all neatly mounted on pages, noticeable highlights incl. eight Thomas Cook from P.O. Box 506 in Lisbon, three with yellow forwarding labels and from Belgium, Norway, Netherlands, Slovakia, France, Czechoslovakia and Italy used as communication route between Axis and Allied countries thru neutral Portugal, plus an additional three Box 252 in Grand Central Annex Post Office in New York (for Thomas Cook Canada) prior to the U.S. entrance into WWII, also a Thomas Cook notice advertising their services to enemy and occupied territories, other items incl. P.O. Box 180 (to and from) and P.O. Box 1663 (from) of Santa Fe, New Mexico which was the address for the Manhattan Project scientists and military personnel in Los Alamos, P.O. Box 111 in Bletchley (2) and P.O. Box 444 in London (2) which were used for the Bletchley Park Secret Center which is famous for breaking the German Enigma Code and many other exiled military or government personnel, collection incl. Undercover Addresses of World War II (3rd Edition) which was used as a check-list that accompanies, mostly Fine-Very Fine, a phenomenal collection from which to continue collecting this generally under-appreciated and unknown field of World War II postal history
