Collections and Accumulations - Canada
Lot Sym. Lot Description
1930   Canada Balance of an Extensive Collection. 1851-1952, in three Scott albums, not only did the collector try to obtain a single example of every stamp, he also augmented the collection nicely with varieties (including shades on early stamps), imperforate pairs, proofs, blocks (including plate blocks), and a few covers, the early issues are generally used, although there are some unused present (some stamps are present both ways), some high cataloguing stamps such as 1857 6p, from the 1897 Jubilee series onward it is nearly all unused and with original gum, just to give one an idea of the depth, there is one complete set of the Jubilees, a second set lacking only the $3.00, some other stray values, and blocks of various sizes to the 50c, later blocks include a complete set of the 1897-98 Maple Leaf, plate blocks include a matched set of the four positions of the 1946 $1.00 Ferry, there is also Back-of-Book, including Air Posts, Special Deliveries, Postage Dues, Officials, and a few Revenues, the Postage Dues and Officials go beyond 1952, condition is somewhat mixed, particularly among the early issues, the 20th Century is usually Fine-Very Fine, with many Mint N.H. stamps to be found, overall a valuable and worthwhile collection that should be carefully inspected
