VERY FINE. A RARE SET OF BLOCKS OF FOUR OF THE PILGRIM TERCENTENARY ISSUE ON A FIRST DAY COVER.

These were the only stamps ever issued by the United States that did not bear any words indicating the country of origin. First Day covers with anything other than singles are rare. (Image)

434 nhbl Image24c Washington Crossing the Delaware, Perforations Inverted and Reversed (1688n). Mint N.H., rich colors, also missing "USA/24c" on position d, denominations fall outside of the perforations on almost all other positions due to the inverted perforations

EXTREMELY FINE. A REMARKABLE ERROR ON THE 24-CENT "WASHINGTON CROSSING THE DELAWARE" SOUVENIR SHEET, WITH THE PERFORATIONS INVERTED AND REVERSED AND WITH ONE POSITION MISSING TEXT WHERE PERFORATIONS SHOULD HAVE BEEN.
