Postal History Group Lots
Lot Sym. Lot Description
902 c New Jersey Postal History -- The Massive Collection Formed by Hawkins V. Maulding. Offered intact as received, consisting of covers and postcards, with the postcards taking up the lion's share, there are at least 10,000 and could easily be as many as 20,000 or more, on the picture side there is every theme imaginable related to New Jersey, but Mr. Maulding also tried to get as many different town postmarks as he could, so there a huge number of different towns, including numerous DPOs and RPOs, vast majority before 1925 and a large number of those are pre-1910, the covers also include a wide range of towns and start as early as 1797, other pre-stamp, and many 19th Century stamped, plus some early 20th Century, there are sections devoted to Fairs and Exhibitions, including a small number not from New Jersey, some is quite well organized, and other parts need sorting (some are still in the original packaging as), slightly mixed condition, much is Fine-Very Fine, if anyone ever wanted to start a collection of New Jersey town postmarks and cancels, this is the ultimate lot upon which to continue
