Dec. 27" at left, Extremely Fine, Wyoming lies a few miles northwest of Nebraska City, apparently this cover was "postmarked" at Wyoming, but the stamp was cancelled and datestamp applied at the larger office in Nebraska City, a remarkable use of this 1869 Pictorial high value from an extremely remote midwestern location, ex Haas, Klein and Dr. Martin, with 2005 P.F. certificate (Image)

The franking pays double the 22c rate via American Packet and thence by British Mail via Panama.
