4495 c ImageLexington Va., 5c Blue entire (135XU1). Clear blue "Paid 5" in center of converted datestamp, part of rim visible around marking, on Attorney's corner card cover to Lewisburg Va., missing part of top flap, piece out at upper left which has been repaired, still Fine and attractive, the lack of a circular datestamp proves this was a provisional, the Lexington markings are discussed in an article in the Philatelic Foundation's Opinions 2 book (this cover is illustrated on p. 162) and Collectors Club Philatelist No. 217 of 1984, the "Paid 5" type was extruded higher than the surrounding type and so just a rim of the marking shows on these provisionals (Image)
