VERY FINE APPEARANCE. THE ONLY RECORDED EXAMPLE OF THIS STRIKING ERROR.

This error card was found in 1973 in a miscellaneous consignment by Walter J. Mader of our firm. It was adhering to another card, to which it apparently became attached after the first pass through the press. Mr. Mader separated the cards and took a victory lap around the office. This was first offered in our 1973 Rarities of the World Sale.

1362   1924-70's, Study Collection of Modern Postal Stationery. Collection neatly mounted and annotated, this is after the period Mr. Gibbs exhibited, but he still collected it in earnest, many hundreds of items, both Entires (incl. Air Post) and Postal Cards, with unused and used, all the different printings, sizes and knifes, every Post Office Request corner card for the Seal issue (in each of the different knives), many varieties, this would make an outstanding basis for someone who wanted to start a highly specialized collection of this area
