1144 og Image1924, 5c-1b Coat of Arms (69 var; CZSG 69.A-69.G). Seven stamps representing the complete set of the unissued Coat of Arms values above the 2c, 50c and $1.00 with tropicalized original gum, bright colors, 12c with trivial corner crease, otherwise Very Fine, these were prepared but never issued as the use of overprinted U.S. stamps began in April 1925, 600 sets were sent to the Director General of Posts of Panama, ostensibly for transmission to the UPU in Switzerland, a small number of sets ended up in the hands of dealers, the balance of the supply was destroyed in 1937 (Image)

A monumental study collection formed by Mr. Gibbs over many years, comprising hundreds of stamps and covers, including numerous varieties, many Scott-listed errors, such as inverted overprints, surcharge omitted, etc., plus other varieties listed in the CZSG book, some misperforated stamps in multiples, and much more, majority Fine-Very Fine, a valuable holding that would require years of dedicated acquisition to replicate -- there is substantial Scott value for listed items and even greater value in the unusual items that are not listed in Scott

1146   1910-21, Study Collection of Booklet Panes. An important and very valuable collection formed by Mr. Gibbs over many years, carefully mounted and annotated on album pages, includes complete handmade panes, booklets, booklet covers, examples used on postcards and covers, enormous depth with many scarce and truly rare items, among the intact panes are Nos. 31c, 32c, 38b, 38c, 39c, and 39g (two panes, one in a booklet with an additional part pane) -- the Scott Retail value of just these seven panes is $5,225.00 -- two inverted center singles from booklet panes, a wonderful array of covers with booklet-pane singles and pairs, condition is typical with tropicalized gum and minor faults, but generally Fine-Very Fine or similar appearance, a tremendous opportunity to incorporate many scarce and rare items into an existing collection, or to launch into a major collection or exhibit, careful viewing is strongly recommended
