1600 og United States Collection, 1851-1954. Substantial unused collection of about 500 to 600 different stamps to 1925 plus album pages of stamps to 1950's, the earlier stamps neatly arranged on black stock sheets for ease of viewing (all were "entombed" in old-fashioned mounts), unusually large number of better items not often seen in collection lots, many of the better items no gum or regummed (quality increases starting in the 1880's) and some of these better items appear to either have cancels removed or are very faintly cancelled (virtually all of these appearing unused), mixed condition and there are a few questionable items incl. virtually all the flat plate coils, nevertheless there is a great deal of useful and desirable material to be found, viewers with patience and expertise should be impressed, substantial Scott Retail value, scan of the better material available here
