FINE. A VERY RARE ORIGINAL-GUM EXAMPLE OF GABON 1888 25-CENTIMES ON 10-CENTIMES SURCHARGE.

400 of these were printed, but nearly all were used, leaving scant few original gum copies in existence.

250 were printed, but most were used, leaving only a tiny number of unused copies available today. The Markowitz example is clearly among the very finest (if not the finest) original gum copies.
