III (26) on buff cover to Bastrop Tex., with original enclosure which states in part "the peaceful quiet of the bedside and hearthstone was suddenly interrupted by the wild shouts of enthusiastic citizens in arms seconded by 500 or 600 from other counties under the command of Maj. Gen. McCullough as they floated before the breeze from the Alamo, the Lone Star Flag... at daylight the plaza and streets were crowded to an overflowing with soldiers.
