Three different hand numbered notes, 10c, 25c and 75c (dated Aug-Dec. 1862), each titled "Receivable for Postage" with the denomination in numerals and spelled out, also "Redeemable in Confederate Money, in the sums of $20 when presented at a post office", each with illustration of a boy rowing, 10c and 25c with dog at bottom, 75c with kneeling angel, J. D. Butler imprints and signed by Wm. F. Pope, each well worn but intact and Very Fine appearing, accompanied by handstamped paid cover from Little Rock dated May 4, 1863, an outstanding and extremely rare group, this is the first stamp money from Little Rock we have offered, ex Lemley, with article by Van Dyk Mac Bride on Confederate stamp money illustrating the 25c note (Image)
