2098 c ImageCANADA, 1851, 3p Orange Vermilion, Laid Paper (1; SG 1a).Positions 31/41, vertical pair with large to huge margins all around incl. part of the adjoining stamp at left, tied on cover by two well-struck bold target cancels with "Clearville, U.C." circular datestamp with manuscript "11 Mar 53" written in center, addressed to Detroit, Mich., "Canada Paid 10" straight-line also tying stamps, Chatham and Windsor transit backstamps

EXTREMELY FINE. AN INCREDIBLY HANDSOME USAGE OF A PAIR OF THE 3-PENCE ON LAID PAPER. A COVER RARELY FOUND IN THIS SUPERB CONDITION.

Horizontal pair with attractive soft color, clear to large margins except barely touching at top right, cancelled by neat strike of a target cancel and some light additional red ink tying the stamps on folded letter to New York, red "St Thomas, U.C. Oc 22 1852" circular datestamp at bottom left, red "Canada" in arc handstamp, small scissor cut in margin between and barely noticeable light crease through left stamp

VERY FINE. A RARE KENNEDY CORRESPONDENCE COVER. ONLY A FEW RECORDED COVERS ARE KNOWN BEARING A MULTIPLE OF THIS STAMP.
