92   Image"Feuchtwanger" Nine-Cent Strip. Three 3c 1861's slightly overlapping in rectangular copper frame, some trimmed perfs and mica faults, frame embossed with floral motif and central eagle and snake, this is reminiscent to Feuchtwanger's 1c obverse design, this fantasy was made by someone other than Gault or Scovill, and has nothing to do with Feuchtwanger, nevertheless examples have been collected along with encased postage stamps for decades, lot also incl. No. 300 encased in an ornate metal frame - allegedly associated with the 1901 Pan American Expo but we have no verification of that (Image)
