894° ng Image10c Green, Ty. I (13). Unused (no gum), huge margins incl. significant portion of adjoining stamp at right, deep rich color and proof-like impression

EXTREMELY FINE GEM. A SUPERB UNUSED EXAMPLE OF THE 1855 10-CENT TYPE I.

The 10c Type I stamps only come from the 20 bottom-row positions of Plate 1. Despite this fact, it is unusual to find examples with as large a bottom margin as the example offered here.

With 1995 P.F., 1995 and 2012 P.S.E. certificates (XF 90; SMQ $11,300.00). This is the highest grade awarded to an unused example of this issue. (Image)

VERY FINE APPEARANCE. A BEAUTIFUL AND RARE STRIP OF THREE OF THE 10-CENT 1855 IMPERFORATE ISSUE, COMBINING TYPES I, II AND III.

With 1990 P.F. certificate. (Image)

896   Image10c Green, Ty. I (13). Position 100R1 with bottom right corner sheet margins, large to huge all around, deep rich color, cancelled by clear New York Ocean Mail datestamp, Extremely Fine Gem, a gorgeous 10c Type I from the bottom right corner of the sheet, while Type I stamps come only from the bottom row, for some reason they were usually trimmed at bottom when they were separated, leaving a dearth of quality examples, with 1989 and 1990 P.F. certificates (Image)
