1349 c Image10c Black, Vertical Half Used as 10c (2b). Uncancelled left half "tied" by stain spot on half of folded cover to Corcoran & Riggs at Washington D.C., red "New-York 5 Dec 5 cts" integral-rate circular datestamp, ms. "Paid", bottom third of cover is restored, Fine appearance, another vertical bisect from this correspondence on half of a folded cover postmarked New York Nov. 30, 1850, is contained in the Miller collection at The New York Public Library, a note from Elliott Perry accompanying this cover states "I am sure the split 10c there [NYPL] is the other half of the copy you have.", a comparison of the two halves confirms Perry's statement, a copy of the Nov. 30 cover accompanies, with 1974 P.F. certificate (Image)
