6687   Tibet Fabulous Specialized Collection. Offered intact as received, mounted and annotated in an album, containing the whole range of Tibetan philately, starting with a large 1910 registered cover franked with China Coiled Dragons tied by large Lhasa cancels, then there are nine covers franked solely with Indian stamps, 1911 China Offices in Tibet stamps, two complete sets with original gum, and a used set lacking only the 4a pm 20c, plus there are some tied to piece, a full pane of 25 of the 2a on 7c, and used inter-panneau panes of 50 of both the -1/2a on 2c and 1a on 4c, the real strength of the collection lies in the issued Tibet stamps from 1912-1950, with unused and used singles incl. a myriad of shades, unused multiples, some varieties and a remarkable assemblage of 77 covers, the vast majority of which appear to be commercial usages, incl. no less than four with the scarce 1912 4t Blue stamp, also several with more than one value, some multiples on cover and even two bisects, the collection ends with 21 People's Republic of China stamps used on cover from Tibet, in addition there is a small group of unmounted material, incl. many early stamps with Geoffrey Flack certificates, the stamps are mostly Fine-Very Fine and the commercial covers are in the typical mixed quality, an incredibly comprehensive collection of this very elusive country, specialists are particularly advised to carefully inspect this extraordinary collection, For complete scans (65mb) of this lot, go to http://www.siegelauctions.com/2013/1059/6687.pdf
