221° c Image$4.00 Columbian (244). Pale shade, tied by "Lynn Mass. Jan. 10 8:30 AM 94" circular datestamp on registered 5c Blue on blue entire (U333) to Honolulu, Hawaii, addressed to "Her Majesty Lilioukalani" (sic), missing top flap

VERY FINE. THE ONLY DOLLAR-VALUE COLUMBIAN COVER ADDRESSED TO HAWAII.

This cover was addressed to Queen Liliuokalani after she was deposed and during the period of U.S.-Hawaiian political intrigue. It is marked registered, but the absence of registry markings or a receiving postmark indicate this was probably a hand-back” cover at the Lynn, Massachusetts post office (Image)
