351 E Image15c Dark Blue, Die Essay on Scarlet Safety Paper, Type 10 Underprint (129-E9). 28 x 31mm, bright colors, small thin spot, Very Fine appearance, the Scott listings for Nos. 129-E4, 129-E5 and 129-E9 are inconsistent and should be revised, the first two are the same underprint (Brazer and Rose Type 11) and differ only in horizontal vs. vertical orientation and intensity of the shade -- as such they should be combined into one listing as is done with other types, for No. 129-E9, Scott lists neither the underprint type (it is Brazer and Rose Type 10) nor two of the known vignette colors, it should be changed back to No. 129-E4, which was at one time its Scott designation (Image)
