VERY FINE. THIS DOUBLE IMPRESSION HAS ONLY JUST BECOME KNOWN TO US, AND IS NOW THE SECOND RECORDED EXAMPLE ON COVER. IT IS ALSO NOW THE NEW EARLIEST REPORTED USE. A GREAT RARITY.

Our census of Scott 530a records approximately 141 unused copies (including a pane of 100) and four used (two off cover), which are shown at our website at http://siegelauctions.com/dynamic/census/530a/530a.pdf . Both covers are used at Stanford University Cal.. An additional example has been certified as genuine but decline opinion as to whether the cancel is contemporary. This is one of two sound used copies. (Image)
