New York, Boston, Paterson N.J., Cleveland O., Vermont, Washington D.C. and a few others, also a few to London and one to Glasgow, beautifully written up and arranged by trip, incl. first voyage to Boston, one sent free to War Dept., one carried on Swallowtail Line, also two carried on last voyage to Boston of retaliatory period and one on very last sailing (Europa) of the period, post-retaliatory uses incl. first eastbound sailing under 1848 Convention, last is cover from Persia to Boston sent under restored rates period with fumigation slits, fresh and Fine-Very Fine, a wonderful group from this fascinating chapter of transatlantic postal history (Image)
