Tied by "New-York Feb. 22" circular datestamp on 1860 cover with "Van Amburgh & Co.'s Two Menageries" illustrated circus cover depicting a wild animal trainer, Cincinnati imprint, to Harrisburgh Ind., with original enclosure, some edge flaws, stamp with faults, still Very Fine, Van Amburgh is credited with performing the first trained wild animal act in modern times, placing his arm and head inside the jaws of a wild cat, he earned the nickname "The Lion King" (Image)
