A fascinating collection of more than 110 large die proofs, each fully die sunk and apparently full size, a vast array of themes and designs including allegorical, agricultural, mining, maritime, railroad, hunting, architecture, General Washington, American flag, a wide range of animals including eagles, Mexican and South American themes, many others, some of the designs were used on various security printing products, others were used in publishing and some appear to be portraits engraved to order, no U.S. postage stamp designs but does include a booklet with seven ABN Co. sample stamp designs, about half are affected by foxing but many are fresh and pristine, a wonderful and rare group (Image)
