VERY FINE APPEARANCE. AN EXTREMELY RARE COMPLETE BOOKLET OF THE 2-CENT WITH THE COVER FOR THE ONE-CENT PANES PRINTED ON THE WRONG COLORED STOCK. VERY FEW ARE KNOWN.
According to Canal Zone Stamps a few 1c covers were printed in the color used for the 2c, and they were overlooked by the postal employees assembling the booklets, who went by color. It is possible that the purchaser at the post office window obtained these at half price. Approximately a half-dozen are known.

EXTREMELY FINE. A RARE EXAMPLE OF THE "CANAL" ONLY VARIETY. ONLY TWENTY WERE PRINTED.
This variety was created when the sheet was shifted downwards during overprinting. 180 stamps bear the "Zone Canal" variety. Only twenty were printed with "Canal" only. It is believed the bottom panes were destroyed.
