Droege Sale - TDC5
Tour de Cure Auction to Benefit the American Diabetes Assoc. -
May 18, 2017
We have reduced the start bids on 8 lots without bids. I will keep reducing the start bids each day to
get them started, so help me knock a couple items off of this list!
With one week out from the close of our charity auction for the ADA, we have reduced the start bids
to get everything to sell. Please take a look at the items that are not selling and if they
fit in your collection, consider bidding on them for this worthy cause.
I don't always update the new lower start bid on these items, so bid on them, they may already
be lower than indicated here.

This is our 5th sale to benefit The American Diabetes Association. It

Valley, Sam Houston, Vance Auctions, Dutch Country Auctions/The Stamp
Center, Cherrystone Auctions, Michael Aldrich, Fusco and David F Hull Stamp
Company, plus of course last year's autographed copy of Bill Gross's book,
The "William H. Gross Collection - United States Classics, 1847–1869" --
with a "catch", plus a number of lots donated by our StampAuctionNetwork
members.
The sale starts with some US classics, a few nice covers, rare plate
blocks, sheets, and a number of US definitives on paper starting with the
4th bureau, prexies, liberty, etc.. You will find several large FDC
collections, also territorial covers, a Trans-Mississippi press sheet in
its original flat shipping container. Back of the book includes some
airmail sets, Guam, Hawaii, revenues, ducks, narcotics, and stamped paper.
Finally in US we have several choice postage lots.
In worldwide we have a number of high catalog singles, sets, and a large
number of collection lots starting at incredible starting levels. Some of
the collection lots are quite heavy and not recommended to be shipped
outside the continental United States. The heavy lots are noted as such.
But the best part of this sale, is that it is for The American Diabetes
Tour de Cure. Some lots will show a fair market value, and for those lots
your charitable contribution will be the amount over the fair market value.
In most cases, you should be able to buy some great stamps and get a
charitable contribution.
If you win lots, payment will be made directly to the ADA using my American
Diabetes Tour de Cure Donation page. The sale will close on May 18th at
12:00 noon EST.
