Lot 153 - 1869 30c ultramarine & carmine, horizontal block of 12, reasonably canceled by black grids, excellent colors and well centered for a large multiple, minor ironed out creases and wrinkles noted. The largest recorded unused multiple is a block of six, the largest recorded used multiple is a block of twelve, of which three or four are known. A wonderful large used multiple of the 30c 1869 Pictorial, no doubt on a heavy parcel and virtually all large multiples of this issue are faulty to some exte....Cat. $9000, Est.$1,500 Sold for US$ 4,750
