From one Postmaster to another; Myers was Assistant Supt. for Air Mail in Chicago, and Sams was Director General Posts & Telegraph in New Delhi; letter, datelined Jan. 24, 1930, is on 8½ x 11-inch letterhead with imprint of monoplane with "AIRMAIL" on bottom wings; recalling Mr. Sams' visit the previous year and wishing him well for 1930; accompanied by pre-printed "Save Time/Use Air Mail" envelope with matching imprint, franked by six copies of Scott US #C12 cancelled by Chicago duplexes; envelope was opened at bottom, resulting in truly inconsequential loss of part of back bottom flap and tear to front under address, Fine to Very Fine+, a unique piece of pioneer Airmail history.
